Introducing the Collexo DQR Terminal Device

Introducing the Collexo DQR Terminal Device

Overview

We are introducing the Collexo DQR Terminal Device, a dedicated counter-facing device designed to make UPI payments at institute counters faster and more convenient.
Previously, when a payment QR was generated from the Collexo portal, it appeared only on the operator’s screen. In many cases, this screen faces the staff side of the counter, making it inconvenient for students or parents to scan the QR code.
With the DQR Terminal Device, the QR code is now displayed on a separate device facing the student, allowing them to easily scan and complete the payment using any UPI application.
This improvement simplifies the payment experience and helps institutes process counter payments more efficiently.

Availability

The DQR Terminal Device is available as an add-on for institutes using Collexo.
Once enabled, the device can be connected directly from the payment screens within the platform, allowing QR codes to be displayed on the device during payment collection.

How Does It Work?

Device Connection

To start using the DQR Terminal Device for payments, you need to connect the device through Collexo.
  1. First, connect the DQR device to your system using the available port.
  2. Go to the Global Add (+) button located at the top-left corner of the portal.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select Connect DQR Device.
  4. Once you click on “connect” , a pop-up window will appear displaying the available port.
  5. Select the Virtual COM Port from the pop-up to establish the connection with the DQR device.
Once connected, the device connection status will be visible across key payment screens in Collexo. This helps you quickly confirm whether the device is ready to display QR codes for payment collection.

Counter QR Payment Flow

The counter payment process using the DQR device works as follows:
  1. Navigate to Track Payment and click Add Payment to mark an offline payment.
  2. The payment process will follow the existing UPI QR payment flow in Collexo.
  3. Click Generate QR on the institute portal to create the payment QR code.
  4. If the DQR Terminal Device is connected, the QR code will automatically appear on the device screen. If the device is not connected, a message will inform you that the device is currently disconnected.
  5. The student or parent scans the QR code displayed on the device using any UPI application.
  6. The payment is completed through the UPI app.
  7. Collexo receives real-time payment confirmation from the gateway.
  8. The transaction is recorded, and the payment status is updated instantly in Collexo.
  9. Student or parent will immediately see the payment success message along with the receipt.

Conclusion

With the Collexo DQR Terminal Device, you can make counter payments faster and more conveniently for students and parents. The device displays the payment QR code on a dedicated screen, allowing them to easily scan and pay using any UPI app. At the same time, the payment status is updated instantly in Collexo, helping you manage transactions smoothly with minimal manual effort at the counter.
