Introduction
You handle a large number of fee payments at your institute’s counter and record them using the Mark Offline Payment flow in Collexo. While these payments are typically marked under modes such as cash, DD, POS, or bank transfer, many of them are now actually being paid via UPI.
To align with this shift and bring greater transparency to counter collections, UPI Collect is being introduced as an additional payment mode within the existing offline workflow. This allows you to initiate a UPI Pay Request or generate a QR code directly from the Mark Offline Payment screen, enabling real-time payment confirmation and automated reconciliation
How to Use UPI Collect?
Step 1: Navigation
You can initiate an offline payment from either of the following paths:
- Go to Transactions from the main menu.
- Click on Track Payments.
- On the Track Payments page, click the Add Payment button at the top right.
Alternatively
- Go to the Applicant Profile.
- Click on the eye icon next to the relevant fee.
- Click Add Payment from the available actions.
Step 2: Select Payment Mode
- A new payment mode UPI Collect will be available
- This option is selected by default
You can choose from the following Payment Mode based on the student’s convenience.
- Payment Mode: UPI Collect
- Collection Type: QR Code or Collect Request
- Payment Mode: Collect Offline
- Collection Type: Cash,DD,Bank Transfer,POS
Step 3: Choose UPI Collect Method
There will be following ways you can pay on the counter :
- UPI Collect Request
- Enter the student’s UPI ID
- A collect request is sent to the student’s UPI app (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.)
- The student approves the request
- Payment status is automatically updated to Approved
- UPI QR Code
- Generate a QR code with the payable amount on the admin’s system
- The student scans the QR using any UPI app
- Payment is auto-confirmed
- Order status is updated to Approved
Both methods support real-time status tracking and automatic expiry if payment is not completed.
