Form Fields in Discount Workflow
Overview
Discounts can now be configured directly using Meritto application form fields. With this update, you can easily set up dynamic discounts based on specific applicant fields such as Program, Preference, Location, Marks, or Category.
Now you can configure discounts exactly the way you want, and the discount settings can also be seamlessly managed within Collexo, further strengthening the Collexo-Meritto integration.
Now let's dive into how this can be done.
Configuring Discounts
Let’s take an example to walk through the steps of configuring discounts. Suppose you have an application form named “PG Application Form” on Meritto, and you want to offer discounts to international students. So, to begin, you need to first decide the form field, based on which it can be determined whether the applicant is eligible for the discount or not. For our example lets say it is the “Country” Field.
Once you’ve decided on the field, simply follow the steps below:
- Navigate to Menu > Fee Setup > Manage Workflow.
- The next step involves creating a discount workflow. Here, you need to select whether you want to configure discounts for Collexo, Meritto, or All (which means for both Collexo and Meritto). Previously, discounts could only be created for Collexo. In our ongoing example, we want to configure a discount for a Meritto form, so we will select Meritto here.

- Once you have selected Meritto, the next step is to select the application form for which you want to configure discounts. Continuing with our example, we will select “PG Application Form” from the dropdown.
- After creating the discount workflow, the next step involves defining the conditions - specifying which applicant needs to be eligible for the discount and then defining the actions, that is, which coupons the applicant will be eligible for.
Continuing with our example, under Select Field, choose “Country”; under Operator, select “Not Equals To”; and under Value, select “India”. Then, under Action, select the desired discount coupon. If you want to know more about how to create discounts and the types of discounts available on Collexo, refer to this article.

- The final step involves enabling the “Enable Discount/Concession” toggle on Fee Studio.
That’s it! You’ve successfully configured discounts for your form. Now, when an applicant fills out the form and proceeds to payment, if they would have selected any country other than India, they’ll be able to apply the discount through Collexo’s checkout.
Conclusion
With this update, you can now use Meritto application form fields to configure discounts directly and manage your fees efficiently.
