Introducing Flexible Login Options for Your Applicant Portal
Overview
We’re excited to announce a new feature on Collexo that puts your organization in control of how your applicants access their portal. You can now choose whether applicants log in using their email address or their mobile number, offering greater flexibility and convenience for you and your students.
When configuring your applicant portal, you can now select the login method that best suits your organization’s needs:
- Email Login: Ideal for institutions where applicants use their official institute email address. This option would also open avenues for your institute to collect payments from foreign students.
- Mobile Login: Perfect for ensuring quick and secure access via mobile OTPs. This option is currently available only for Indian mobile numbers.
How you can change Login Method for your Applicants
Here are the steps that you need to take to change the login method for your applicants:-
- Head to the Settings page.
- Click on Account Config and select the Login Via tab.
- Choose the login method by changing the dropdown for the "Login Via" field.
- Click on the Save button.
How your Applicants login to the portal based on the Login Method
Your applicants can login to your institute in the following ways:-
- By directly visiting your institute's link.
- You can search for your institute on Collexo by clicking on "Login" on the home page.
Applicant experience with the available log in methods is as follows:-
Login via Mobile
This login method remains the same. Applicants need to enter their mobile number, click on the Send OTP Button and then submit the OTP that they have received.
Login via Email
Applicants need to enter their email address, click on the Send OTP Button and then submit the OTP that they have received.
Conclusion
The new flexible login options give institutes the freedom to choose between email or mobile-based access for applicants. This ensures a more convenient, secure, and tailored login experience for both domestic and international students.
