Manage Payment Gateway
Introduction
A payment gateway (PG) serves as a bridge connecting your institute’s bank account to the platform. This facilitates the transfer of funds after a student/applicant completes a transaction on the platform through various online modes such as net banking, credit card, debit card, UPI, or online wallets.
After carefully analyzing the needs and preferences of institutes operating at various scales and within diverse industries, they can be classified into 3 categories with respect to their fee collection preferences with regard to payment gateways:
- Institutes that have their Payment Gateway account: These are the institutes that have been collecting payments using their payment gateway before subscribing to Collexo's platform. Collexo supports a variety of payment gateways including Razorpay, BillDesk, PayU, Paytm, Stripe, Cashfree, CCAvenue, and Paystack.
- Institutes that don't have their own Payment Gateway account but would prefer to use one: These are the institutes that don't have their own Payment Gateway account but would prefer to use one to enjoy the benefits of the same. Collexo facilitates this process through referrals, offering support for Razorpay, BillDesk, and Cashfree payment gateways.
- Institutes that don't prefer using their Payment Gateway account: These are the institutes that would prefer to receive payment transfers in their bank account directly. This would also give them the benefit of being able to utilize the platform without any delays related to PG account opening. Such institutes are not required to add a Payment Gateway account on Collexo and can directly proceed to add their bank account(s), discussed in detail in this article. For such cases, Razorpay or Cashfree payment gateways are used.
Having a Payment Gateway account provides you access to your payment gateway's dashboards and reports along with the ability to track payments and settlements.
How to Navigate?
- Go to Menu
- Select Fee Setup
- Click on Manage PG Account
- Choose Add Payment Gateway
Note: The required fields may vary for each payment gateway.
To integrate a Payment Gateway with your institute’s Collexo account, fill in the following fields.
The following fields are common across all payment gateways:
- Title: Enter a display name for the Payment Gateway.
- Payment Gateway: Choose from supported payment gateways.
- Status: Toggle to enable/disable the payment gateway.
Specific fields for each payment gateway are as follows:
Razorpay:
For Institute Owned Account:-

| Type of Account | Select "Institute Owned" if your institute intends to use its existing Razorpay PG account. |
| Key Id | Enter your institute's Razorpay Key ID |
| Key Secret | Enter your institute's Razorpay Key Secret |

For Partner Account:-

| Type of Account | Choose "Partners" if the institute’s new Razorpay PG account was created via Collexo’s referral. |
| Key Id | Enter the Razorpay Partner Key ID |
| Key Secret | Enter the Razorpay Partner Key Secret |
| Account/Merchant Id | Enter the merchant ID for the partner account. |
PayU:
| Field Name | Description |
| Merchant Key | Enter your institute's PayU Merchant Key |
| Merchant Salt | Enter your institute's PayU Merchant Salt |
| Transaction Mode | Choose one amongst Test/Live based on the purpose of the creation of the PG account. |

| Pay Plan | This field would be available if "Partners" is selected as the type of account. Choose one amongst the available options |
| Bank Account No | This field would be available if "Partners" is selected as the type of account. Enter your institute's Bank Account No associated with Billdesk |
| Bank IFSC Code | This field would be available if "Partners" is selected as the type of account. Enter your institute's Bank IFSC Code associated with the Billdesk |
| Transaction Mode | Choose one amongst Test/Live based on the purpose of the creation of the PG account. |
Stripe:

After adding an institute-owned PG account, it is recommended to add Collexo's Webhook URL to the supported payment gateways' webhook configuration. The webhook URL can be found in the popup which opens after clicking on an added payment gateway's title. You may refer to the payment gateways' support material on configuring webhooks by clicking on the link available.
Routing payments is a supported feature on Collexo for specific payment gateways such as Razorpay and Cashfree. This feature allows institutes to associate multiple bank accounts with payment gateway accounts that have been added to Collexo. Using this feature, you can route payments to different bank accounts for different fee components as per your institute's preferences. For instance, you can designate separate bank accounts for tuition fees, hostel fees, and transportation fees, channeling payments for each fee component to their respective accounts.
