Testing Your Integration with Collexo

Testing Your Integration with Collexo

Introduction

Before activating any new webhook, it’s important to verify that everything is set up correctly. That’s where Collexo’s "Test Hit" feature is helpful -it’s like a dry run to ensure your integration is ready.

How it Works?

When you use Test Hit for a webhook event (e.g.,payment.approved, settlement.date-wise or settlement.transaction-wise), Collexo sends a sample webhook payload to the URL you've configured.
This simulated payload mimics the actual data structure you'd receive in a real scenario.
You can view the response sent by your student management or partner systems in real-time, allowing you to test and debug integrations.

How to Navigate?

  1. Go to admin setting from menu
  2. Select webhook

How to Use It?

  1. Once you’ve configured a webhook
  2. Click on the action button against the webhook you would like to test.
  3. Select Test Hit button
  4. Fill in the following details:
    1. Test URL: Pre-filled with the API URL you entered while configuring the webhook.
      1. It’s editable, so you can modify it if needed, for example, to use a staging/test endpoint instead of production.
      2. You can use a test URL so you can safely validate payloads without affecting production data.
    2. Fee Studio: From the dropdown, select the specific fee for which you want to send data. Only the fees already assigned to the webhook will be available for selection.
    3. Webhook Event: Choose the specific event you want to trigger the webhook for. To know more about events kindly refer to this article.
  5. Click on the Test hit button to instantly send a sample webhook request to your endpoint.
  6. You can then view the payload that was sent along with the response provided by your endpoint for debugging and testing purposes.

Conclusion

This feature helps you ensure the integration is correctly configured before going live. By sending simulated payloads to your student management or partner systems, it helps your team validate and troubleshoot integrations efficiently.
