Understanding the Payment Trends Report
The section provides the following key insights:
- Total Payment: The total sum of payments received within the selected timeframe. This aggregates all payment modes and fee heads.
- Payment Count: The total number of successful transactions in that period.
- Average Payment: The per-transaction average, which helps you understand payment magnitude and student behavior.
- Percentage Changes: For each data point (total, count, average), a comparison with the previous period (e.g., month-over-month) is shown with color-coded and a percentage giving you instant clarity on positive/negative trends.
- Green: Indicates an increase compared to the previous 30 days.
- Red: Indicates a decrease compared to the previous 30 days.
A dynamic, interactive graph is prominently featured, indicating daily/weekly/monthly collection flow. Peaks, drops, and regularities become easy to spot, helping you strategize follow-ups or campaigns.
Payment Mode Breakdown
Every institution needs to know not just how much came in, but how it was paid. Beneath the main metrics, a breakdown shows payment distribution by mode:
- Online, Cash, Bank Transfers, DD, POS, EMI
- For each mode, you see:
- Count of payments
- Total amount collected
- Percentage share for each mode (e.g., Online: 80%, Cash: 12%, etc.)
This lets you immediately see whether digital payments are being adopted.
